  2. A couple of things you can do. At a practice green. Place about 10 or 12 balls in a circle around the hole starting at about 2 feet. Make each putt. Then make the circle 3 feet. Make each putt. Then 4 feet. etc. out to about 15 feet. This helps you learn feel. Remember to let the arms hang feely and make the putting stroke smooth like a pendulum keeping the face of the putter on the target line back and through. Same distance back and through. If you go back 6 inches then follow through 6 inches. Other than that call me for a lesson.

  8. concentrate on making the putts…if you say your gonna miss your gonna miss, but if you say you can make it, you'll amke much more putts…try it 1 round and see what happens

  10. Hello Frank: A good tip I picked up watching the pros and
analysts was to make sure that when you complete your
putting stroke that the putter head does not return
back until well after the putt.

  11. First of all, make sure you take the putter straight back, then straight through. A very important thing to remember (at least for me) is to follow through towards the hole. Have a good pre-putt routine. Don't change anything unless the routine doesn't help your putting.

For practicing, try to make 5 straight putts from the near the hole (in the same place each time). If you miss one, start over. Once you do this, move back a bit. Do this until you're about 10 feet away. Then go from a different angle. Do the same thing from four different angles.

    Good luck!

  12. There are 3 important variables that make up a good putting stroke. They are as follows: stroke path, face angle of putter head, and impact point of the ball on the putter face.

Most people would be surprised at what is the most important thing to get right of these 3 things. We give a full explanation here at http://www.free-golf-swing-tips.com/golf-putting-tips.html

  13. Instead of watching the putter hit the ball, set up behind the ball and look at the cup while you putt. People will disagree and state that they look at the ball and where the ball was so they do not pull their head, but if you are already looking at the cup, you won't pull your head. Also while looking at the cup instead of the ball you are able to judge distance better, no more 3 Putts.

  14. Hit the ball closer to the hole

  15. Most pros will tell you that amateurs focus too much on the line of the putt. The most important aspect of good putting is DISTANCE CONTROL.

Work on your lag putting and focus more on how far you hit your putts rather than the line. After you get a better feel for distance, the line of your putts are much easier to improve.

  17. You should draw a line on the ball and line it up precisely on where u want to aim. Then watch the line after u hit it, if the line rolls over each other and u miss, it means u misread it. this way u learn whether u misread the putt, or mishit it. Learn to master both and ull b an excellent putter
